Changeover Switches

Changeover Switches are used to switch the electrical power supply from EB (Electricity Board) to Power Generators and/or Solar Power supplies.

There are Manual and Automatic changeovers, where Manual changeover has a lever to change the power supply manualy. But automatic changeover is change the supply automatically when an interruption occurs by EB.

Automatic Changeover

Automatic Changeover Switch

An automatic changeover is an electrical switch that switches a load between two sources. When EB/utility/Main power is lost, the automatic changeover sense the situation and switch to the generator, which starts to supply the power to the circuit.

Once the EB/Utitlity/Main power restored, it detects and returns to the main power.

Manual Changeover

Manual Changeover Switch

The Manual changeover switch requires to handle manually, when need a power switching from Main power to generator power or vise versa.

Rotary Changeover

Rotary Type Changeover

There are Single phase and Three phase Rotary changeovers. These types can fix on the face of a Electric panel board. 1,0,2 (or ON/OFF/ON) positions are denoted to EB, Off, Generator.

MCB Type Changeover

MCB Type Changeover

These type changeovers can be fixed in a Main Distribution box (or in a ABC box). Also available single phase and 3 phase power installations.

These are commenly used in EB to Solar power supply circuit systems.
